Getting married in church is about acknowledging that such an important step in life needs all the support that it can get. That is why our friends and family are there to support us. Perhaps more importantly, getting married in church is about asking God to be there is the marriage, supporting both partners in good times and in bad. Vows are made before God, not only because of their importance, but also because God's love for each of us is constant and boundless.
